It
is so important for kids to be involved in food! It's pretty amazing
how diverse their palates are and how people so often assume that
flavours and textures are “too rich” or “too sophisticated” for
children's young tastebuds.
I thought of my own kids when I put
together my Week of Tastes Menu and how I like to eat with them when
I’m away from the restaurant. Like so many young people, they love
crunchy textures, creamy flavours and for their taste buds to be
absolutely stimulated! What’s often missing from kid's menus is for all
of these things to be available to them. Its amazing watching their
faces as they experience sweet, sour, salty, bitter, savoury and umami
and I’ve tried to provide all of these qualities in my Week of Tastes
Menu. The dishes should appeal to little kids and big kids alike!
Throughout October, we will be hosting early dinners (6pm), aimed to get families eating, enjoying and discussing food together.

BBQ Local Asparagus dressed with Sweet and Sour Capsicum and Capparis Farms Goats Fetta
Game Terrine with Pheasant, Rabbit and Duck, seasoned with Peppercorns and served with Radish, Celeriac Salt and Toast
Fennel, Provolone and Tilsit Fritter with Fresh Pickled Cabbage
Mains (all mains $25.00)
Hiramasa Kingfish panroasted in Chermoula and served with a Parsley, organic Raisin and Pinenut Salad
Leg of Saltbush Lamb roasted on the bone over Button Mushrooms and served with Marjoram and Peas
Danks Street Depot’s Bolognaise made with Handcut Beef and Pork braised in Jus, roasted Tomato Sauce and Milk served with Pappardelle
Dessert (all desserts $10.00)

Pavlova with Passionfruit and Whipped Cream
