It's pretty amazing how diverse their palates are and how people so often assume that flavours and textures are “too rich” or “too sophisticated” for children's young tastebuds. I thought of my own kids when I put together my Week of Tastes Menu and how I like to eat with them when I’m away from the restaurant. Like so many young people, they love crunchy textures, creamy flavours and for their taste buds to be absolutely stimulated! What’s often missing from kid's menus is for all of these things to be available to them. Its amazing watching their faces as they experience sweet, sour, salty, bitter, savoury and umami and I’ve tried to provide all of these qualities in my Week of Tastes Menu. The dishes should appeal to little kids and big kids alike! Throughout October, we will be hosting early dinners (6pm), aimed to get families eating, enjoying and discussing food together.
