Week of Tastes Restaurant Menus

As part of this year's Crave Sydney Food Festival, visit a participating restaurant and offer your children a chance to discover a new world of tastes and flavours. Offered at a family friendly hour and discounted price, these specially designed menus
will educate your children's palates and create curiosity and positive attitudes towards new food.

"It's so important for kids to be involved in food! It's pretty amazing how diverse their palates are and how so often people assume that flavours and textures are “too rich” or “too sophisticated” for young taste buds. Like so many young people, they love crunchy textures, creamy flavours and for their taste buds to be absolutely stimulated! Its amazing watching their faces as they experience, sweet, sour, salty, bitter and umami."   Jared Ingersoll, Danks Street Depot

Bei Amici is very proud to be associated with the "Week of Tastes” from the 20th – 30th of October. Our goal is to encourage our customers to bring their children to experience our food and secondly, to provide a level of education as well as pleasure from their dining experience.
The children will have their own menu designed by our son Max and his friends.
At 10, Max likes his food with one or two flavours clearly defined. He does not like his food to contain chillies or other extreme flavours. Max attends Darlinghurst Public School which has recently started a vegetable garden. This has given Max and other children a great love of raw vegetables.
At Bei Amici we feel it is important that children know how to behave and enjoy eating at restaurants. Felix Rutz, owner and head chef of Bei Amici will speak to the children about how everything was cooked and (hopefully) answer all their questions.
